Guillermo Flies to Tel Aviv, Israel
August 18, 2016
His plane departed from SFO and touched down in Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport 17 1/2 hours later. Guillermo Modo hadn't seen a trip this long since being turned into a toy lizard in 2009, and spending 3 weeks aboard a cargo ship out of China.

The daily continental breakfasts at the Yam Hotel were wonderfully welcoming, while the endless cappuccinos provided a necessary jolt to combat the jet lag.

Upon closer inspection, Modo determined this was not a real deer. Local shawarma however, would prove a fine replacement for this carnivorous Komodo Dragon.

The King indulged in desserts too, which seemed to be more abundant than trilingual road signs. Those Israeli's sure love their sweets!

Down at the beach the sun was constantly shining bright.

Give a lizard some heat and watch him burn off those calories in no time.

Back indoors, Modo was often confronted by the tight security presence. Until recognized as the leader of the Lizard Land Alliance of course.

Once confirmed to be the authentic King himself, Modo was promptly escorted to meet and discuss peace in the middle east with some other powerful world leaders.

They took him to Old Jaffa for a glimpse of history at one of the oldest ports in the world.

Then for cocktails. The 911 rang the alarm, while the Lady Gaga touched some tasty notes.
What a time Guillermo had spreading peace, love, and happiness from Old Jaffa, to Dizengoff, and back up to the Tel Aviv Port. Truly lifelong memories were made during this excursion with such talented, bright, and hospitable middle eastern mammals.

Next stop.... Jerusalem!
