Taking a break from the hustle and grind of his busy work week, Guillermo spent a relaxing weekend camping at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park. Queen Kate of the Humans and her loving companion Russell, brought two additional characters for this particular adventure. Raif, the young Giraffe from a broken home and a troubled past with addiction, accompanied a bookkeeping owl that replied "who" when asked of his name. Modo and his friends would help set the tone for an unforgettable time.
The King of Lizards once again led the Lizard Land Alliance in ceremony, dancing with the lizards of Napa Valley around the campfire. During their stay, the queen was kept safe from snakes, winos, and 6.0-magnitude earthquakes.
Feeling at ease united with nature, Guillermo ventured for a successful breakfast hunt among the mossy forest floor.
As always, Guillermo was a hit with the ladies. Who can resist the charm of a King?
Modo, Raif, & their bookkeeping owl friend were thrilled and excited to learn that Queen Kate of the Humans was now engaged with soon to be king Russell! They danced and partied throughout their remaining nights at the campsite. Word quickly spread throughout the animal kingdom that night. A colosel, united animal dance of celebration insued, which rumor has it, may have actually ignited the Bay Area's largest earthquake in nearly 25 years according to the USGS!
What a memorable trip indeed. Modo and friends would never forget the fun and refreshment received that weekend at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park, deep in the heart of wine country. They all agreed to venture back one day, and soon would construct the blueprints of another exciting journey together.
